ABOUT

Hello and welcome, fellow feline aficionados!

My name is Anna Joseph, the proud parent, caregiver, and confidante to hundreds of cats over the years, and the passionate cat lover behind Catsfanatic.

My journey with these majestic creatures has been nothing short of a remarkable adventure; each purr, meow, and playful pounce has etched indelibly into my heart.

My love affair with cats began as a child when I was gifted a tiny ginger kitten. I named her Whiskers.

This was the start of a lifelong journey. A journey filled with furballs and purrs, and some scratches along the way. Over the years, I found myself sharing my home with more and more of these fascinating creatures. Each cat, unique with its personality, became a cherished part of my family.

Here’s a picture of me surrounded by my current feline family. Each one has a unique story to tell.

Let’s take, for instance, Shadow.

Shadow came into my life during a difficult time; he was suffering from kidney failure, a common disease among felines. Shadow’s story was heart-wrenching, but with specialized care, a renal diet, and lots of love, he’s still with us today, defying all odds. His resilience is truly inspiring.

Next, meet Tiny. I found Tiny in an alley when she was just a newborn kitten, helpless and motherless. Bottle-feeding her every few hours and helping her grow into the playful and healthy cat she is, was an unforgettable experience. Her growth journey reiterated the importance of early nurturing.

Miracle, as I lovingly named her, was a survivor of a car accident. She was terrified, injured, and had lost her limb in the ordeal. Her road to recovery was long, but she was a fighter. With countless vet visits, rehabilitation exercises, and hours spent comforting her, Miracle has not only recovered but thrived, teaching us all the true meaning of her name.

Mr Harry was found alone and starving on the streets. His pitiful mewling pulled at my heartstrings, and I knew I had to help. Nurturing him back to health required patience and effort. It took time, but I was able to gain his trust in humans, and he soon became a loving, playful addition to our family. His story serves as a reminder of the countless cats that are out there who need our help and love.

Catsfanatic was born out of the desire to share the wealth of knowledge and experiences I have gained over the decades as a dedicated cat caretaker. With every new feline that has crossed my threshold, I learned something new – about their needs, their behavior, their likes and dislikes. I have been through sleepless nights with a new kitten, the anxiety of moving houses with a feline friend, and the profound sadness of a loss. I have rejoiced at the first steps, the first purrs, and the first successful hunts.

This site is my way of sharing all of that with you – the joy, the challenges, and the endless fascination that comes with being a cat parent.

Please bear in mind that while I have spent years surrounded by cats and have a wealth of firsthand experience to share, I am not a veterinarian. Catsfanatic is intended as a community resource for cat lovers, not as a source of professional veterinary advice. For health-related concerns, always consult with a qualified veterinary professional.

What you will find here, however, is practical advice, tips, and insights gleaned from my own experiences. Alongside this, I will share heartwarming stories, intriguing cat facts, product reviews, and so much more. Everything you find here is driven by a deep love and respect for these remarkable animals.

Trust me when I say that being a cat parent is a journey like no other – it’s filled with surprises and a lot of learning along the way. I am excited to share this journey with all of you. Whether you’re a first-time cat owner or a seasoned cat lover like myself, I hope Catsfanatic will become a source of joy, knowledge, and inspiration to you.

Welcome to Catsfanatic. Let’s embark on this feline-filled adventure together!
